Release notes

A quick release this week:

  • Notify Payroll the minute a timesheet is authorised
  • Contractors now receive accepted and rejected timesheet PDFs
  • Change of wording on timesheet detail and PDFs
  • Timesheet IDs added to timesheet summary view

Notify Payroll the minute a timesheet is authorised

We made a fair few calls to our clients after we came up with this idea to find out if you guys thought it would be useful and the response was a resounding YES!

So it’s here.

You can now set up an email address which will receive an email every time a timesheet is accepted and this will have the PDF of the accepted timesheet. The idea is that you set this email address to be for your payroll or finance team and they then don’t need to login to the system to download the information.

If you would like to set this up, follow this link to get help on setting up a payroll email address.

2.8.0 email for payroll with approved timesheet PDF

Contractors now receive accepted and rejected timesheet PDFs

Contractors now receive their timesheets as PDF attachments as soon as their line manager accepts or rejects them.

2.8.0 Accepted timesheet notification email to contractor

Change of wording on timesheet detail and PDFs

We have completely removed the ‘Accepted by’ wording from the timesheet detail page until the timesheet is, indeed, accepted. If it is rejected then it says ‘Rejected by’ instead.
While the timesheet is pending authorisation, nothing is shown here.

Timesheet IDs added to timesheet summary view

To make life easier for everyone, we have added the timesheet IDs to the timesheet summary page. This should make it easier to find a specific ID if someone wishes to query a particular timesheet.

What's coming next?

  • Timesheet datepicker improvements
  • More editing
